There
are many machines in the market place which are no longer required and
available for use elsewhere. Many of these units are in good condition,
having seen little or no operation at all.
Utilising
used machinery instead of buying new has two major benefits to the
customer:
- Cost saving – A
fully refurbished machine is likely to cost no more than 50%
of the
price of a new unit, so you save on your budget.
- Improved delivery
– Used machines allow you to avoid the inevitable delays in
waiting for new forgings and castings. This allows the engineering
to begin quickly. Deliveries on a refurbished, used machine are
generally less than half that of a new unit
Rotamac
supplies used machinery in one of three ways:
- In
an as seen condition, where the customer is responsible for any
refurbishment requirements.
- In
a completely refurbished, as new, condition.
- Fully
refurbished, but also rerated to suit the requirements of your
plant. This option carries performance guarantees, as with a new
machine.
Used
machines are also occasionally bought as spares for existing machines.
This allows repairs, refurbishments and future rerates to be executed outside of normal shutdown times. The refurbished spare is then switched
with the running unit during the shutdown.
